Daniel is originally from Ghana – West Africa. He joined our Staff at the Racquet Club of Columbus in spring of 2013. Daniel came to RCC as a Tennis Professional from the Chicago area Midtown Athletic Club in Palatine. Lartey was the lead instructor for the cardio tennis program. He also assisted in High Performance, the MAC Adult Teams and Junior Development.
Prior to teaching at the MAC, Daniel assisted with the instruction in both junior and adult cardio tennis programs at the Washington Golf & County Club in Arlington, Virginia.
In 1994 to 1996 Daniel was member of both the Ghana World Youth Cup team, and the ITF junior team (West Africa). Daniel reached ranking highs of # 120 in singles and # 140 in doubles in the International Tennis Federation junior world ranking).
From 1996 to 1998, Lartey was a member of the ATP and the Ghana Davis Cup Team, while playing futures and challengers in Africa, Asia, and Europe. Daniel also competed in the German Professional tennis league and travelled to Davis Cup tie that Ghana played at Latvia.
Daniel is certified by United States Professional Tennis Registry.
